The shinto are a group of individuals that unlike a normal group or faction, do not meet like normal. They are ones of any race that worship a single diety for a boon to be bestowed upon them. There are many different types of shintos, and they are fearsome indeed. However it is overseen by the high council(the only shintos that actually gather, mor explained below) that beings do not posses more than one boon. Such a thing would be heretic, and forbidden. Each god gives a particular boon and all who share the god share the boon. The main focus of each shinto is to do as their god wants and to fulfill their goal. It is said that upon an individual completing their given "goal" they could be granted a second boon, at the cost of their first.
High council:
The high council consists of the strongest members of the shinto, one for each god. They command and control the others. The high council is the second to final say, save the gods from directly intervening. When one member seems weak another can challenge for their place. Each god has a specific fight, or ritual for each to complete to prove their position. Below the high council there are no official factions, though groups have been known to band together.
