Originally from the small railroad town interconnecting the city of Altoona, PA that runs past the horseshoe curve to the west, it served many years and still does as the main hub of transportation. Strangely enough it seemed like the dragons...did not scorch it almost like they were asked or compelled not to when events began to unfold. Not much is known about him or the witcher organization for it's formation, but one thing seems apparent. The man is a survivor, and embraces out of the box thinking with his crafts. His organization survived through clever disguising of it's craft as mundane means more often than not, and in reality not many know if Nicholas is a mage...wizard, or if he's just an especially skilled organizer and engineer. Nicholas embraced and studied magic on his own since he was young and sickly. He first studied the white arts and priestcrafts including the Kabbalah to seek out answers, included he also read and studied Reiki. He moved onto grimiores and the grey along with looking at the natural magics of the world itself. Eventually, he had moved out of the town for a time and consulted with a dragon. He asked them about his advice and path...it was then that the dragon revealed what he truly was and the source of the power he was born with. Nicholas came not with fear or to seek power, but to seek understanding in all things he does. The true source of his power comes from the inner soul itself and also with his own attitude towards the world in having the wisdom to seek things out. Nicholas didn't have an easy childhood either. He came from a single parent home, that had to scrape by in all it did. He learned some of his inventiveness by necessity growing up and learning how to make lemons from lemonade so much that it became incorporated into his character. He sought things of both holy and light, and even for a time studied darkness, and the paths it could offer with it's sweet seduction of power. He almost gave into embracing darkness instead of light after a tragic happening but the heart can be healed if forgiveness and things of light prevail. Instead he rejected the power of darkness and chose to embrace that of the light. He feels to this day choosing to choose light over darkness is something all can do and understands the difficulty of such a decision. Some rumored that he may have helped many others out of their darkness that joined the witchers personally, and that is why he truly is their leader elect. Others say it is because of heritage and knowledge of the railroad, others yet say it is because he is charismatic and sees people as they can be not just who they are. He is a flawed man, but constantly embracing knowledge, learning, and learning from and about individuals to best figure out how to serve others.

As head of the witchers, he has access to many others with magical talents who often make items, potions and the like with various ingredients, some common items would be salves, various potions, and more. This can make some old rusty, or broken things...into some awesomely powerful treasures with the right additions and salvaging done to items.
Housing:
He is usually aboard the witcher's train when he's not on the front lines alongside the others.
