Kagayaku Hikari Moto
Age: 45 (when killed)
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 198 lbs
Gear: Sword of Soul Collecting, enchanted samurai armor
Bio: Kagayaku was the quiet and sweet son of Yin Moto. He saw his samurai father as a hero and thought his father was invincible and would always protect him. He was a disciplined and respectful and loved his parents. He liked stick fighting with his dad and loved to hear stories of dragons and gods. He was wonder filled and energetic. His life would change one day when his father was murdered infront of him along with his mother. He was then taken by the deadly Ronin and trained by each of them every day under the cruel leadership of Bodisunatchā, who physiologically tormented the boy and emotionally broke him apart. Building the boy back up and brainwashing him to be an assassin and fierce warrior. The boy was brutally beaten each training session until he aged 20, after each session he would have welts and bruises and once a broken arm. (He was trained like this for 16 years) The boy then became Bodisunatchā's personal body guard and agent of chaos, for whom he sent out to kill targets and decimate villages. The young man was unmatched by all in the land. He was named the Shadow Reaper due to him being the best swordsman in Japan and their most lethal assassin. His death count became extremely large, monstrous even. Kagayaku attempted to numb his emotions and think of only the anger, there is no peace or happiness in the world- his father is the best example. His father was weak and valued forgiveness that is why he perished. He himself was weak, so he has to take away who he is and become the Shadow Reaper. He started by attempting to take the life of his master Bodisunatchā; though he killed the other Ronin who had trained him he was no match for the mysterious leader who beat Kagayaku to submission. However he was most pleased with the pupil's inner darkness and his ability. So instead of killing the warrior he bestowed upon him the Sword of Soul Collecting. This sword was crafted by four Oni and Uji no hashihime. It was crafted by the darkest of magics and forged and folded in the hottest hellfire. Bathed in the shadow oils of the demon king and polished with the souls of 9000 sinners. The sword granted Kagayaku immense power, he could match an Oni in strength and speed, he could teleport and turn himself into a shadow for a set amount of time. The sword granted him the ability to self heal from any injury and granted him the ability to use black magic and conjure hellfire. He could create enchanted armor for extra protection and send out projections of himself to confuse the enemy. His sword could pierce through even the toughest armor, and if one was struck down by his sword their soul would be sent to the underworld while half of it would be trapped in the sword. Kagayaku was then tasked with shedding his humanity, by attacking an innocent village of defenseless citizens. The population was mostly elderly, children, and innocent women and men. Though part of him was holding himself back- the shadow man, voice of his sword, convinced him to do it. It would be he only way to get relief from his inner conflict and pain. Kagayaku effortlessly slaughtered the entire village within minutes. Walking down the hill with his head down looking at all the dead bodies lain around him. He felt a deep sadness and depression, hearing the whispers of the shadow man filling his head. He raised his sword ready to destroy himself, but then he saw an army of 200 Samurai from a local village ready to kill him for his sins. The broken man had a wave of anger, he raised his sword and slashed through the army with one strike of his sword. He expected to walk out safely until he was confronted by White Samurai, protector of Japan. Kagayaku recognized this spirit of vengeance as his father Yin Moto. He was struck with anger and confusion and grief. Accusing his father of abandoning him and not trying to save him, after thinking it was an illusion. Yin looked upon his son in sadness and changed into his samurai form fighting his son in a battle. Though his son was wounded, Kagayaku was the superior fighter and ran through his father. Vanishing while the spirit recovered.
(He will have more story later, and temporarily be the white samurai)
Kagayaku Moto is a tormented soul walking in confusion and doubt. All his life he's been lost and unsure. Fighting his inner darkness, but eventually it consumed him until little was left of the boy he once was.
